BigPanda’s Generative AI for Automated Incident Analysis provides ITOps teams with fast, accurate, and consistent insights into every incident, allowing first responders to respond to incidents and reduce L2/L3 escalations confidentially.

Enrichment Maps UI

BETA

Configure mapping enrichment rules using a new UI that makes it easier to improve alert quality by leveraging existing relationship information such as a CMDB or team spreadsheet. Within the Enrichment Maps UI, you can now upload a new file, add a condition, configure efficient enrichment rules by showing a preview of the file, define the lookup tags, and use overwrites.

For example:

  • A mapping table might have the query tag column as “application name,” with result tag columns for tool owner and runbook URL. If an alert enters BigPanda with a matching application name, the alert is automatically enriched with the associated owner and runbook URL.

The Event Processing Dashboard provides early insights into the success of your BigPanda configuration, even within the first hours of use. The dashboard shows metrics on your top source systems and gives you visibility on how your integrations are performing.

OIM New Integrations

Before being ingested into BigPanda, the Open Integration Manager performs preprocessing functions on some complex integrations. This allows the data to be mapped appropriately to tags in BigPanda. Visibility into these functions is available within the UI.

OIM-supported integrations following addition for preprocessing functions:

  • Splunk
  • Agent (Nagios, Icinga, Zenoss)

Azure AD Direct Integration

  • We plan to remove friction for customers and partners setting up Single Sign On (SSO) with Azure AD by providing direct integration and presence on the Azure Active Directory application gallery.

Auto-guide customers through the environment configuration process and create default environments that best support their use cases. Building a flow that aims to understand the customer’s intended work of operation and use case, and setting up environments to support it, will help us to:

  • Better understand our customers and build a scalable use case base
  • Create a better setup for our customers’ success
  • Reduce PS hours (questioning and building environments)

MS Teams Standard Integration Enhancements

  • This feature lets users share a customized message to an MS Teams channel of their choice, providing flexibility in sharing useful and relevant information to incident management.
Recurring Maintenance Plans

ServiceNow v2.8

  • Incident Reports: Sync historical incidents with BigPanda for MTTR analysis
  • OAuth: Support for OAuth-based authentication when creating tickets from BigPanda
  • Incidents: Flapping – Block Resolve toggle will only resolve a ServiceNow incident if it is not flapping
  • Incidents: When tickets fail to get created in ServiceNow, Comments are now posted back to BigPanda with details
  • Incidents: Update BigPanda incident tag to use HTML anchor link
  • CMDB: Support for inactivating individual tables, which can be used to test the addition of new tables

Correlation Pattern Insights Enhancements

This release is an improvement to the first milestone of Correlation Pattern Insights. In this milestone, we are adding the important aspects of actionability of incidents along with splits and merges. This will give customers a complete view of their Correlation Pattern effectiveness and enable them to optimize them.

The main benefits that customers will gain from this feature are:

  • Being able to better understand how well their correlation patterns are executing.
  • Enabling customers to improve their correlation and reduce noise.
  • Accurately displaying the value generated by BigPanda correlation.
Post-enrichment alert filtering (beta)

Recurring Maintenance Plan Updates

BigPanda maintenance plans set a rule to suppress alerts that match a specific condition during a scheduled time frame. They are a key tool in reducing noise during known downtimes such as scheduled maintenance or system testing.

With this new functionality, you can:

  • Schedule a single plan to recur at the same time on multiple days.
  • Choose to repeat a plan every day, week, or month.
  • Add an end date to automatically stop the recurring plan in the future.
