We are pleased to welcome Bryan Dell as BigPanda’s new Chief Revenue Officer. Bryan brings 20 years of experience to the company, most recently as VP of Sales for AppDynamics. His career also includes sales leadership roles at CA, Medallia and Quest Software. Here’s a bit on his arrival, in his own words…
Wrapping up my first couple weeks at BigPanda, I’m reflecting on the decision process that I went through to join, what I learned in the first week, the insights associated with that, and what I am looking forward to as we leap into the future together at a rapid pace.
I made the decision to come to BigPanda based on 4 key areas.
1) Market Opportunity
The space that BigPanda is playing in and the problem it solves for our customers is real. As digital transformation continues to dominate business and IT decisions alike, applications and infrastructure have become exponentially dispersed and intertwined. IT organizations are making continued investments in monitoring and automation to ensure IT performance and ultimately customer experience. I saw first hand in my time at AppDynamics how the right monitoring solution can make a huge impact on our customers’ business. However, even in the most successful monitoring organizations, the dispersed world I described above, inevitably results in lots of tools throwing off hundreds, even thousands and tens of thousands of alerts every day, with little to no correlation between them. The man hours spent on conference calls, troubleshooting and resolving issues is huge and expensive. The pain is real.
2) Product Innovation
My second reason is the quality and potential of the BigPanda platform. With an Open Integration Hub and Open Box Machine Learning, the solution is able to consolidate, automate and streamline IT Operations to reduce cost, downtime, and risk. It offers a rapid time-to-value and is being leveraged to drive true business value, at scale, across a number of large enterprise customers today. Because we are delivered as a modern SaaS platform, we continually add new capabilities and value to our customers. It’s a true partnership. And, as impressive as what the solution does today is the roadmap and vision that we are pursuing as we drive closer and closer to fully autonomous IT incident management.
3) The BigPanda Team
The third reason BigPanda is a great company is the people. I love the team here. Everyone is truly committed to solving these pains for our customers. Everyone is focused on delivering a truly exceptional customer and employee experience. The founders and executive staff are in the trenches with go-to-market teams every single day. The company has created a true culture of collaboration that I am honored to be a part of and excited to build upon.
4) Career Opportunity
And last but not least is the impact I believe I can make at BigPanda. With a hot space, a great product and an exceptional team, the foundation for a great company is there. I’ve been charged with creating a scalable, repeatable go-to-market machine that keeps the customer front and center in everything we do. That is what I love to do. That is what I am passionate about. I love to help enterprises solve really difficult problems, ones that drive true business impact, effectively leveraging world class technology. When it comes to empowering sales teams, I love to help driven individuals grow personally and professionally while advancing their careers in the process. I love to build teams that unify in achieving these goals while forming lasting relationships.
